WhatsApp Beta UWP app on Windows continues to get more features with each update. For instance, earlier this month, the instant chat messaging app added the ability to archive chats to its desktop client. And now, Meta has added the option to filter chats to give more control over user experience.
Thanks to the addition, users will now be able to filter different conversations from just unread chats, contacts, non-contacts, and groups. While all of the options are pretty self-explanatory, if you filter to show messages from groups you’ve engaged in, it’ll show your chats of all groups including the ones you’ve archived.
The chat filter is now available on the latest version of the app which is WhatsApp Beta 2.2216.4.0. In case you want to check out the latest feature yourself, you’ll need to head to the Microsoft Store to update the app to the latest version. Although a similar feature is already available for WhatsApp Business users on Android and iOS, it’s good to see that the company is adding the support for Windows version of the app.
This latest addition comes as we’re eagerly waiting for several planned features over next couple of months. One of these features includes the message reactions which works similarly to how you react to different posts on other Meta owned properties. The feature is currently in the development stage and likely to come out pretty soon.
