While not common, DDoSing lobbies is pretty common in online multiplayer games. It seems that Respawn Entertainment has had enough as the company’s lead of security has announced that they have started to hand out bans for those caught cheating.
In case you aren’t aware, there has been an increase in wave of cheating in Apex Legends. These players would DDoS the lobby which would force everyone but themselves lag out of the game. As a result, they’d stack up eliminations for easy win.
In order to resolve this ongoing problem, lead security of Apex Connor Ford, or RSPN_Hideouts turned to Twitter to announce the initiative. He sent out the following tweet.
Console reckoning for DDoSers and DDoS customers incoming. You can’t hide any of it ♥️

As of now, the company has banned around thousands of users for cheating and it’s likely that the list will continue to grow in the coming days.
