Although Galaxy A20 is an entry level device, the smartphone has been receiving regular updates since its release. If you are using the smartphone, you’ll be glad to know that selected models of the Galaxy A20 have already started receiving the March 2021 Android security update.
While we don’t know when the update will reach everyone, the over the air package has started reaching consumers across parts of Asia earlier today. Apart from the security update, Samsung is addressing several bug fixes along with performance improvements with the new update.
While the new update is definitely a welcoming one, unfortunately, the smartphone isn’t included in Samsung’s promise of three generations’ worth of Android update. While it narrowly missed out on that part, it’ll be interesting to see if Samsung releases any new operating system update in the coming months.
If you haven’t received the update, you can try to force a manual update. In order to accomplish this, you’ll need to go to ‘Settings’ and scroll down to the Software update section at the bottom. From there, you’ll be able to tap download and install on the final screen.
