Apple announced earlier this month that the company will be discontinuing the iMac Pro. However, the computer didn’t disappear from the online store immediately as the company was looking to clear the existing inventory. It seems that the tech giant has cleared the existing inventory and if you’re looking to get your hands on one of the iMac Pros, you’re out of luck.
If you check Apple’s website, you won’t be able to order one as the computer is no longer available for purchase. However, you might be able to get one in case you want to from third-party retailers.
While rumors for a while suggested that Apple is currently working on refreshing the lineup with its own Apple Silicon, it’s unlikely that the company decided to remove the computer entirely from the store. Moreover, the iMac Pro has had an outdated design for a while now. As a result, it might be the reason Apple decided to finally stop production.
As mentioned earlier, the iMac Pro hasn’t been updated for a while now and you can still purchase the 27-inch model in case you are interested. Since the 27-inch model becomes pretty powerful when packed with the 10-core Intel Xeon W processor, it’s likely that this version of Mac is popular among those who want a powerful AIO.
Although it’s unlikely that we will get new iMac anytime soon, we’ll have to wait to see if there’s something in the works after all.
