Shortly after unveiling RX 6700XT, AMD has released a new update for Radeon Adrenalin driver to bring support for the new GPU. The latest driver comes with a built-in utility that allows overclocking enthusiasts to stress test their graphics cards with ease.
Thanks to the update, the Performance Tuning tool is built into the driver. As a result, you won’t need to find a third-party solution to stress test or overclock your new graphics card. The integrated stress test option will provide users information on GPU, memory clock speeds as well as temperature and power consumptions. Apart from these, the driver will show all of the data in a graph to visually represent how the values have changed over the testing or general operation.
Apart from the support for the newly launched graphics card, the driver brings in several new features for different games. If you are currently playing DX12 titles, then you definitely want to update to the latest version as the new driver finally brings in support for Radeon Boost. In case you didn’t know, the feature uses the variable rate shading hardware in RX 6000 cards to boost performance in supported titles via dynamic resolution scaling.
Apart from the Radeon Boost, the 21.3.1 driver brings in Radeon Anti-Lag for DirectX12 titles. The feature lowers the input lag from the computers’ peripherals to provide smoother gameplay experience.
