Although DLC fighters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become pretty common since the game’s release, Nintendo and Sora Ltd. originally had plans to release only five DLC heroes for the title. As you might already know, Byleth is set to release later this month meaning the Fighters Pass will be completed with the new release. However, since the game’s release, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become one of the most popular titles for Nintendo Switch. As a result, both Nintendo and Sora Ltd. have decided to bring more heroes to the game.
In an official announcement, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that there will be more DLC characters coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate beyond the initially planned heroes. Although we didn’t know a lot of information at the time, we now know a little bit more about the upcoming heroes.
During his presentation about Byleth earlier today, Sakurai confirmed that there will be another Fighter Pass for the Smash ultimate. Moreover, the upcoming Fighters Pass will contain six new heroes meaning we will have total of 86 characters when the new heroes come out.
At the moment however, nothing is known about the characters that will make debut with the next Fighters Pass. However, the presentation revealed that all of the new heroes will be available by end of next year. As a result, we will have to wait a long time before we get all of the heroes. Despite that, as we move forward, expect to know more details regarding the upcoming heroes in the coming months.
