Apple has announced that the company will be replacing some of the Smart battery Cases for he iPhone XR and the iPhone XS/XS Max models due to the ‘charging issues’. According to Apple, customers who experience two particular problems related to charging will be eligible for the replacement program.
In the official announcement, Apple noted that the impacted devices were made from January 2019 to October 2019. Additionally, Apple noted that although the problem will result in charging related problem, customers should not be concerned about their safety.
As a result, those who are currently experiencing the no-charging or intermittent charging problem for eligible devices, should visit Apple Retail Store or an Authorized Service Provider to get their devices checked out. If eligible, Apple will replace their faulty cases for free.
