Although BioShock remains to be one of the most popular video game series of all time, the last installment in the series came way back in 2013 with BioShock Infinite. While it wasn’t a direct sequel to BioShock 2, the game was widely praised by both fans and critics. If you were wondering if there’ll be another BioShock game in future, you will be glad to know that we might be getting the direct sequel after all.
Rumors surrounding the possibility of BioShock 3 started as Strauss Zelnick recently revealed that the company might be announcing BioShock 3 in near future. Zelnick’s comments came during the latest earnings call of Take-Two interactive (2K Games’ parent company) where he said that gamers could expect sequels from the company’s biggest franchises.
This news isn’t particularly surprising considering the company has hinted over last couple of months that it is working on BioShock sequel. Back in 2015, the company noted that the series will be a permanent franchise and fans shouldn’t be worried about it. As majority of the company’ popular series got sequels, it’s won’t be surprising to see if the company announces the title in the coming months.
However, there’s no details available on the title but if the studio indeed is working on a BioShock sequel, expect to get more details in the coming months.
