As it’s been quite a while since Sony and Microsoft announced PS5 and Xbox Scarlett respectively, increased number of publishers are already working on titles for next generation of consoles. At the moment, most highly anticipated titles for the upcoming consoles are Halo 5, GTA 6 and Cyberpunk 2077. While we are not likely to see a lot of announcement from companies regarding their titles on the upcoming console, Ubisoft has announced that it will bring several of its current games to next generation platforms.
The latest confirmation came as Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot spoke in an earnings call to investors earlier this week. While we already know that Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters will come to next PS5 and Xbox Scarlett, two more titles were also named during the call.
During the earnings call, Ubisoft revealed its plan to delay the launch of the games until next fiscal year to launch for both current generation consoles and next generation consoles at the same time. As not everyone will buy the new consoles right away, Ubisoft’s move isn’t particularly surprising.
During the call, Guillemot also mentioned that the company wants to bring cross-play available in all of its titles going forward as the feature has become popular over last couple of years.
