PS5 Users Reportedly Will Have Advantage over Xbox Scarlett and PC While Downloading Games

Although we are still months away from the release of PlayStation 5, we are getting new details on the upcoming console on a consistent basis. Just recently we learned that PS5 will be more powerful than Microsoft’s Xbox Scarlett. Interestingly, the latest leak from Wired reveals that PS5 users will experience significant performance improvements over Xbox Scarlett and PC users when it comes to installing games.

While we will have to wait to find out about the accuracy of the claim, the outlet cited the 60GB size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Due to its massive size, the game takes roughly four hours to completely download and install the title. However, as Wired pointed out, PlayStation 5 will offer partial game installation.

In case you are wondering, the partial installation feature will allow gamers to install specific parts of different games. For instance, if you are installing a game that contains both multiplayer and single player mode, you can simply install the part you are interested in. Moreover, the feature will allow you to delete the part of a game in case you have completed it and aren’t interested in playing.

As we are still couple of months away from the official release, it will be interesting to see some of the other features of PlayStation 5. As we move closer to the official release, more details related to the upcoming consoles will come out.
