Although AMD has been relatively quiet after releasing 5700 and 5700XT, if the recent Linux driver update is anything to go by, then the company is working on as much as nine unreleased variants.
While the details are unclear, the latest driver update confirmed that Navi 22 and 23 GPUs are in the works. Apart from these, the Navi 12, 21 and their Lite versions are also in works. The driver indicates that AMD currently working on five Navi 14 GPUs.
The list (via TechRadar) contains Navi 14 XT, XTM, XL, XLM, and the XTX. While the first two confirms two of the previously announced cards, the next two seems to be cheaper alternatives. As the XTX is the overclocked 50th anniversary card, we will have to wait to find out how performs when the company brings the GPU.
Apart from this, the code reference to Navi 22 and 23. Although we have heard rumors about these two cards for a long time, this is the first time we are seeing any reference in the code. If the previous rumors are accurate, then these two are first RDNA 2.0 cards.
Moreover, codes for the driver also mention Navi 12 and 21 as well as the ‘Lite’ version of these two cards. Although previous reports have suggested that 12 Navi 12 will be more powerful while Navi 21 will be a budget card, we will have to wait to find out more about the upcoming cards as AMD hasn’t revealed any details of the upcoming cards.
