Although we are still more than a year away from the release of PlayStation 5, there hasn’t been shortage of rumors over last couple of months. While we will have to wait to find out if the reports surrounding the upcoming console is accurate, a recent report has claimed that the upcoming console won’t be as expensive as we previously thought.
While the report didn’t specify the price of the upcoming console, the outlet claimed that Sony wants to put a reasonable price tag for the next generation console. Despite that, it’s hard to imagine that the console will be cheaper considering the specifications. As a result, we will have to wait to find out more about the pricing in the future.
The latest report comes just days after Sony confirmed the name and release window for the upcoming product. In a recent blog post, Jim Ryan, President and CEO wrote, “Since we originally unveiled our next-generation console in April, we know that there’s been a lot of excitement and interest in hearing more about what the future of games will bring.”
“Today I’m proud to share that our next-generation console will be called PlayStation 5, and we’ll be launching in time for Holiday 2020.”
