When Nintendo launched Mario Kart Tour earlier last month, players were wondering if the game will contain multiplayer going forward. The company has now announced that it will be releasing a real-time multiplayer beta later in December.

While the addition will certainly be an interesting one, the company revealed that if you are interested in trying out the real-time multiplayer mode, you will need to be a Gold Pass subscriber of Mario Kart Tour. At the moment, you can subscribe to Gold Pass for $5 per month. However, you should note that the subscription price for Gold Pass is subject to change.
In case you are interested, you will be getting several perks as part of Gold Pass subscription. Moreover, subscribers will get special in-game gold badges by completing Gold challenges. In case you are unsure if you want to sign up for the subscription, Nintendo allows a two-week free trial period to check out if the subscription is worth it.
