If you are concerned about your privacy while you are using internet, you might want to check out the latest version of Firefox as the browser’s improved security tools and features can help you out immensely.
Firefox has introduced several tools over last couple of months to keep you protected. For instance, Firefox for both Windows and MacOS blocks online tracking by default. In order to make it easier for users to learn how a website tracks you, Firefox recently announced privacy report tool that will give you real-time information on how often a website is trying to get information about you.
In case you are interested in using Firefox’s Privacy Protection report, you will need to update your browser to Firefox 70. Afterwards, click the shield on the left side. This shield will be dark gray if the website isn’t tracking you. From here, you will see the ‘Blocked’ area which shows number of labels which will give you information on which trackers, cookies and similar items the browser has blocked to prevent tracking.
If you are interested in changing the settings, you can do so by going to the Protection Settings. In case you are interested in viewing the report on day-to-day basis, you can check the Show Report option.
