For a while we have heard rumors regarding EA making a comeback to Steam after the publisher stopped selling its titles through the platform. Few days earlier EA teased fans about the upcoming changes. And now, the company has announced that EA and Valve are partnering to put different titles and EA Access to Steam.
This latest news comes as the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Steam Page notes that users will need to install Origin in case they want to play the game. As predicted earlier, the method of purchasing the title will work in the same way Uplay is working at the moment. For instance, although Division 2 is available through Steam and Uplay, gamers are required to install Uplay to run the title in case the purchase the game through Steam.
EA’s decision to return to the Store comes as it wants to reach as much customers as possible. On the other hand, Valve wants to partner with publishers to remain go to place to purchase games as competition with Epic Games Store rises. As of now, other popular EA titles such as Apex Legends and Battlefield V will be available later next year.
