Although other game studios have released remastered titles for a while now, EA has been relatively quiet. If you are fan of older EA titles, you would be glad to know that the company is working on remastering some of the some of the most beloved titles. Interestingly, during a Q2 2020 earnings call with investors, EA revealed that it has plans to release “exciting remasters of fan favorites.”
This latest news comes after Niko Partners Senior Analyst, Daniel Ahmad turned to Twitter to reveal information regarding the upcoming titles. He noted that while the next installment in the Battlefield franchise will be released in 2021, fans will get some of the most popular remasters throughout next year.

According to the Tweet, EA will start with releasing remastered titles with Command & Conquer. However, it’s unclear how the company will move forward following the release. Despite that, it won’t be surprising if the publisher sets its eyes on other popular titles from the original Mass Effect trilogy, Dead Space trilogy and Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic. Given these titles are highly expected by fans, it will be disappointing if EA decides not to bring these titles when it starts releasing remastered titles.
During the earnings call, EA noted that it is planning on releasing next installment in Battlefield in 2021 as mentioned earlier. However, given the success of Apex Legends, it’s highly unlikely that we will get any release in Titanfall franchise in the coming years. As we move into the next year, we should hear more about the upcoming remasters from the company.
