If you own Sony 360 Reality Audio and Deezer, you will be glad to know that the music service has released a new standalone music app designed specifically for the Reality Audio.
Sony unveiled the immersive sound technology during this year’s CES to bring realistic audio placements. When 360 Reality Audio becomes available later this fall, fans will be able to experience their favorite songs using the modern sound system.
If you are familiar with binaural audio, then you might already have an idea of what to expect. Reality audio uses different virtual speakers with various placements to play different sounds. This results in realistic sound as you would experience in real life.
Deezer isn’t the first company to support the service upon its release. As of now, a number of streaming services will offer songs in 360-degree format including Amazon Music HD, TIDAL, and Nugs.net. Deezer joins these companies while bringing a standalone app for the service. However, the new standalone app will require the $14.99/month Deezer HiFi subscription that provides customers CD quality audio.
If you are interested in trying out the service, then you will be able to sign up for a 30-day free trial for the Hi-Fi plan that is also available for existing users who are subscribed to more affordable plans.
