If you are familiar with launch of major titles, then you might already know about day 1 patches. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare released; Infinity Ward has released a day 1 patch that addresses a lot of issues associated with the title players experienced during the title’s beta period. In addition to releasing fixes for all of the platforms, some of the fixes are dedicated towards PC gamers.
According to the patch notes released by the developer, some of these changes include the addition of HDR support and NVIDIA Highlight support in multiplayer. Additionally, Infinity Ward has fixed the problem where the game would revert FOV settings to default when loading into a match. Moreover, the patch introduces smoother ADS transition animations for players with higher end systems.
Apart from these changes, the title’s multiplayer modes have fixed several known issues. According to the patch notes, players will not be spawning on enemies. Moreover, the developers have increased the number of spawn points to give players more options and said that the company will continue to monitor the changes on a map-by-map basis going forward.
As for game mode, COD: MW’s Ground War mode has got a significant number of changes. Thanks to the changes, players will now respawn on squadmates who are riding in vehicles.

As for the game, Activision and Infinity Ward have decided to implement battle passes instead of lootboxes for post launch monetization. At the moment, we will have to wait to see when the company decides to implement battle passes for the game going forward.
