Daisy Ridley Teases Lightsaber Duel between Kylo Ren and Rey

In recent weeks Daisey Ridley has been pretty vocal about the upcoming Star Wars movie and the actress has now hinted that we might see Rey and Kylo Ren facing off each other in an epic battle in the upcoming sequel.

During a recent podcast, the Ridley said that the shot we saw earlier showcasing a lightsaber duel between her and Kylo Ren wasn’t just for the photo shoot and will in fact appear in the movie. She stated, “We have a great fight. A great fight. And I was really happy that the Vanity Fair pictures did show a bit of it. It’s a great fight. Like I’ve become such a better fighter and they made the lightsabers lighter, so it actually looks like we’re swinging light and not like heavy, heavy [swords].”

If you were trying to find out any possible plot related to the scene, you will be disappointed to know, Ridley didn’t reveal any other detail about the upcoming movie. However, she said that the scene will be epic. She continued, “I got a great deal of respect because I did not, I was ‘I’m not gonna complain about the cold, I’m just not gonna do it (laughs)-so it was like a real thing of stamina. It feels really epic, and it felt epic even at the time. Imagine, we had the waves like this, and they’re gonna make the waves bigger, and one can only imagine what it’s gonna look like.”

While we will have to wait to find out more, words on internet suggest that the battle will take place inside the remains of the second Death Star. At the moment, we will need to see how the movie turns out as Ridley previously said that she won’t be back for the next trilogy. However, her comments aren’t surprising considering we have heard rumors for a while that the next Star Wars trilogy will take place way ahead of Rey’s current timeline. As we move forward to the release of the upcoming movie, expect to hear more in the coming months.
