Although YouTube is one of the best places to find music, the platform can be pretty frustrating due to its different content offerings. YouTube Music has provided solution to this problem since its launch and now, the app will allow you to create your own mixtape based on your favorite songs.
Mixtape isn’t something new as YouTube Music has provided users option to listen to songs through ‘Offline Mixtape’ in the past. However, Mixtape can be misleading at times as the app downloads songs based on someone’s listening profile.
Interestingly, the latest feature, Smart Downloads will make it significantly easier to create a mixtape as it will download only the liked songs and continue to play them in case you are out of internet. Moreover, the app will download the songs only if users are connected to Wi-Fi and during Night to avoid inconvenience.
At the moment, the feature allows users to download up to 500 songs. Given YouTube Music’s massive library, this latest feature should help out music lovers in case they want to discover new songs on a regular basis while keeping their favorite songs around. However, the feature will be available for Android devices only for YouTube Premium subscribers.
