YouTube Is Testing New Methods to Display Comments on Android App

Although YouTube’s comment section can be pretty divisive, the feature can be useful to users in case they want to take the discussions related to a video further. However, the current comment section on Android can be pretty difficult as you will be required to go all the way down to view comments on a video. Interestingly, Google might be working on introducing changes to the comment section on Android.

According to XDA Developers in addition to the traditional like and dislike button, the section will now feature a comment button. Interestingly, if you click on the button, it will take you to the comment section instantly. On the other hand, in case you want to hide the comment section, you can do so by tapping the button again.

Moreover, the upcoming feature also contains an easier way to find new comments. Similar to other comment features in different social media, holding the comment section down will update the section. With the changes, YouTube seemingly wants to improve user experiences over the platform as the comment feature of the video sharing service has faced several challenges in the recent months. Earlier this year, the company was forced to disable comment section on videos that featured minors in an attempt to protect users. at the moment, the feature is available for Android only but is likely to make its way to iOS in the coming days.
