In a recent announcement, Instagram has introduced new branded content. With the latest changes, advertisers will now be able to promote content from influencers as ads in feed and in stories.
This latest move come us a surprise given that creators were able to post sponsored content in their profile for a long time. However, these contents were only shown to their followers. With the latest changes, these ads will appear in front of users who don’t necessarily follow them.
In the blog post, the company also noted that advertisers can use Facebook’s ads platform to get performance analytics of their ads. At the moment, the feature is going out on a rolling basis and will appear across Instagram in the coming weeks.
