Thanks to Apple’s control over its devices, all of the company’s products come with a small number of apps which might not be useful to its consumers. Understandably, users want to have full control over their devices and in order to bring more customizability to Apple Watch, Apple will allow users to remove pre-packaged apps from Apple Watch when watchOS 6 becomes available.
One of the biggest arguments Android smartphone owners brought to table was the operating system’s functionality to customize the experience. However, Apple finally decided to include similar features few years back as it allowed users to remove apps from their iPhones. While considerably late, it seems that the company is satisfied with the result and will bring the functionality to remove apps from Apple’s smartwatch in the coming months.
According to TechCrunch, starting with the watchOS 6, users will be able to install several pre-package apps on Apple Watch directly from App Store which suggests that you can remove them as well. In order to do so, you can simply press and hold the app icon to get the uninstall option and proceed from there.
However, you should note that, the ability won’t be available for all the applications which makes sense given Apple’s commitment to bring several unique features along with its smartwatch. At the moment, we will have to wait several more months to get the features.
