In an attempt to improve its offerings for delivery and order pickup service, Walmart has introduced an Unlimited Grocery Delivery Subscription for its customers.
Named Delivery Unlimited, the service will cost $98 per year and Walmart will provide unlimited delivery through the new subscription. In addition to the new service, Walmart has introduced several other options to cater online consumers. For instance, if you order over $35 worth of groceries, you will be eligible for free same day shipping. Moreover, you can even ask Walmart employees to put your groceries directly in your refrigerator with another service.
As mentioned earlier, these are new additions to Walmart’s existing services. Previously, the you could pick up your products from nearest Walmart for free or have them delivered to their home for $9.95 per order. However, the company is introducing a $98 annual subscription to make it cheaper for those who use the retailer regularly.
If you subscribe to the annual plan, you will be able to shop as usual and then select a delivery window to receive the items without paying the per-order delivery fee. If you are a regular Walmart shopper, you should definitely sign up for the service as it is significantly lower than competitors’ current offerings. For instance, Target offers a $99 per year subscription while Amazon has a similar $199 subscription.
