According to an email sent out to costumers, Tesla is set to downgrade software used in model 3.
The latest report comes via Electrek which claimed that users will also be able to upgrade software of their Tesla Model 3 in case they want to.
The email sent out to the customers notes, “Your Model 3 will soon receive new software that matches the Model 3 Standard Range configuration you ordered. As we communicated in April, this includes a limited range of 220 miles, and the removal of several software features. To continue experiencing the extended range, faster acceleration and Autopilot features of Model Standard Range Plus, schedule a service appointment through your Tesla app.”
If you are aware, the more expensive Standard Range Plus version will provide 10 percent larger range. In addition to downgrading the software, Tesla might remove some of the features including the onboard music streaming service.
