Although we are still over two months away from the release of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album Lover, it has already gained a lot of attention since the announcement as it recently broke the previously held record for pre-order on Apple Music.
According to the figures released by Apple Music, the US singer-songwriter’s seventh studio album has the most pre-adds on the platform. As of now, the album has received over 220,000 pre orders which has comfortably surpassed the previous records held by Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next. Moreover, the album had a total of 178,600 pre-adds on the first day of release which is also the most in an album’s first day.
This news comes few days after the artist released a music video for her upcoming album’s second single called You Need To Calm Down. The music video features a number of celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Laverne Cox, the cast of Netflix’s Queer Eye and Adam Lambert.
