Earlier today, Samsung introduced several new SmartThings to help you to create a connected smart home.
First of the new offerings, is a new indoor security camera for home, the SmartThings Cam offers 1080p with HDR and night vision through a 145-degree wide-angle lens. Additionally, you will get two-way audio communication which will allow you to communicate with others in your home. While you will get a 2 hours of cloud storage for free with the ability to connect up to four SmartThings cams, you can opt for a premium 30-day cloud storage option for $79.99 per year which will give you option to add up to eight SmartThings Cams.
In addition to the SmartThings Cam, Samsung also announced SmartThings Wi-Fi Smart Plug and SmartThings Smart Bulb.
In case you are wondering, the SmartThings Smart Plug will allow users to turn their small appliances or electronic devices into perfect fits for connected homes. In addition to setting up timers to control them, you can use Alexa or Google Assistant to control them. As for the Smart Bulb, you can control the brightness of the bulb using voice assistant. However, you will need to connect the bulbs to a SmartThings Hub to use the voice assistant features. On the other hand, the WiFi Smart Plug and SmartThings Cams won’t require to you to connect them to SmartHub.
