If you have kept up with the news related to Galaxy Note 10, then you might already know that Samsung is set to ditch headphone jack for the upcoming device. As removing the headphone jack clears up the space for compact design as well larger batteries, the company has decided to remove the port from Note 10. With Galaxy S11 still a long time away, the company is more than likely to ditch the port for the smartphone.
This latest news comes via a report from Android Police which cited a source from Samsung. At the moment, Samsung is the last to remove headphone jack from its premium devices. Back in 2016, when Apple removed the headphone jack from its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, several other companies mocked the design choice. However, majority of smartphone manufacturer ditched the port shortly afterwards.
While Samsung has resisted the changes for a long time, recently it has followed the suit as it removed headphone jack from the Galaxy A80 . While removal port will open up the device to innovation, we will have to wait to find out more as we move towards release of Galaxy Note 10.
