Although fans got to see a banner for upcoming Wonder Woman sequel few days earlier, didn’t hear anything from the studio at the time. In a surprising tweet, Patty Jenkins recently shared the first poster for Wonder Woman 1984. As you can see from the poster, the highly anticipated sequel is set to give the superhero a colorful makeover.
This latest news comes shortly after we learned that Warner Bros. won’t be making its annual presentation this year. As a result, we won’t be seeing any trailer for the upcoming movies in the DC universe. While fans were disappointed, Jenkins wrote this along with the official poster for Wonder Woman 1984, “By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full, But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…”
As a result, it’s more than likely that we won’t be getting any official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 until later this year. The movie will see Wonder Woman fighting enemies during the Cold War. Recently we learned that the upcoming movie will feature one of Wonder Woman’s arch nemesis Cheetah.
Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and Kristen Wiig as Cheetah. As for others, Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright will reprise their roles from the first movie. Wonder Woman 1984 will arrive in the theater on June 4, 2020. You can check out the latest poster of the movie below.
