Earlier last week, Nokia teased an upcoming smartphone. While no details regarding the upcoming phone was available at the moment, HMD announced Nokia 2.2, an affordable smartphone for those who are on a budget.
As for the specifications, the latest Nokia smartphone won’t set the world alight when it comes to specifications. The phone packs a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, with four A53 processing cores at 2GHz, and either 2GB or 3GB of RAM along with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, the Nokia 2.2 features a 5.71-inch screen with HD+ resolution with 19: aspect ratio with a notch at the top.
While the specifications of the phone aren’t particularly surprising, Nokia is marketing the product as a way to bring the power of AI to consumers and as a result, the phone features a dedicated Google Assistant button. Additionally, the phone’s camera also accompanied by AI which will help you to get better shots at low-light environment.
As for the operating system, the Nokia 2.2 is part of Android One program which means there will be at least two major Android updates for the next two years.
Most importantly, despite packing all of these features, Nokia’s upcoming smartphone will have a starting price of just €99. At the moment however, it’s unclear when the Nokia 2.2 will be available to consumers.
