Although it didn’t live up to Nokia’s sales expectations, Nokia 9 PureView got plenty of attention earlier this year thanks to its six-camera setup. Interestingly, a recent leak has suggested that Sony might be working on bringing a new Xperia smartphone with whopping six camera lenses which will break Nokia’s record.
The latest leaks came from Max J. who shared an image along with the specs of the smartphone. While the image showcases strong camera system, you should note that these are just his imaginations. According to the image, the main camera of the smartphone will feature a 48-megappixel camera with a variable aperture. As for the other cameras, they are 8, 12 and a 16-megapixel accompanied by a 0.5-megapixel tine-of-flight sensor to bring great portrait mode shots. As for the front facing camera, it is a 10-megapixel selfie camera accompanied by 0.3-megapixel time-of-flight sensor.
While it’ll be interesting to see if Sony indeed has the smartphone in the works, it’s more than likely that the company isn’t focused on bringing a smartphone at the moment given its limited smartphone market share. However, if we get the phone sometime in future, expect to pay a premium price in case you want to own the device. you can check out Max J.’s latest tweet below.
As I mentioned last week there’s going to be a new Sony phone. Today I heard some things regarding it’s camera specs:
The specs might be different in the final product do to this device still being in development. The images are based on imagination.
