Microsoft to Drop Office Supports for Older Android Devices

Microsoft’s office apps have been extremely popular among users as you can get pretty decent workflow using these apps on the go. However, in a recent announcement, Microsoft has revealed that the office apps will stop working on older Android devices in the coming months.

This latest news comes as Microsoft recently updated the system requirements for its Office apps. According to the announcement, the Office apps for Android will work on Android KitKat and Lollipop until end of June but will stop supporting afterwards.

Given that these versions of Android OS aren’t extremely popular among users at the moment, it’s unlikely that users will miss them. If you are one of the users using Microsoft Office apps on your smartphones, you should find alternatives to Office to use on your device or simply upgrade your smartphones in case you absolutely need to use Android Kit and Lollipop.
