In a recent announcement, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it’ll be expanding its vehicle subscription service to Atlanta.
This latest news comes after the company launched the pilot program in Nashville and Philadelphia a year earlier for a monthly fee.
However, this wasn’t the first time a popular automobile manufacturers introduced the program. Due to increasing difficulties with selling vehicles, several manufacturers have introduced subscription services. With the subscription service, consumers can pick a vehicle according to their needs instead of purchasing a vehicle. While results of the program has been mixed thus far, luxury automakers Porsche and Mercedes have seen strong interests in their respective programs. As a result, Mercedes have decided to expand their programs in Atlanta.
Talking about the latest expansion of the program, Adam Chamberlain, vice president of sales for MBUSA said, “The pilot program far exceeded our expectations. Eighty-two percent of the subscribers are new to Mercedes-Benz, and we are hitting the mark attracting younger drivers who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the brand at such a young age. Interestingly, families and couples are equally accessing the service whether for use as their primary car, for fun or as a way to test drive a wide variety of models.”
