If you are just starting out or an experienced PC user, overclocking can be pretty daunting task as you will need to consider several things before trying to get the most out of your processor. For instance, when overclocking, the processor can run extremely hot which will require you to get decent cooling solutions. However, it seems that Intel wants to make it easier for its consumers to overclock Intel’s processors as the company has now released an automatic overclocking tool for several 9th generation Intel processors.
Named Intel Performance Maximize, the latest tool will determine the settings of each core and then complete “hyper-intelligent automation” to overclock the processors. As a result, you won’t be required to enter BIOS in case you want to overclock your Intel CPUs.
Prior to this tool, Intel required users to manually overclock their chips in case they wanted to improve the speeds using third party solutions. However, AMD provided easy access to its customers interested in overclocking their processors and the features are extremely popular among power users. As a result, it makes sense that Intel has decided to bring the feature to its users.
However, you should note that you will be able to overclock your Intel CPU using this latest tool only if the processor has 6 or more cores. At the moment, the Core i9-9900K/KF, Core i7-9700K/KF, and the Core i5-9600K/KF are the processors which will benefit from the tool. If you are using other processors which allow you to overclock them, you will need to manually complete the process. In case you want to try the Intel Performance Maximizer, you can download the tool from the company’s official website.
