In order to provide larger options to consumers, Hyundai has added a hybrid powertrain to its Kona crossover.
The latest model comes with a 1.6-liter GDI petrol engine along with an electric motor and battery. As a result, the vehicle will provide zero emissions at low speed. According to the company, average fuel consumption of the vehicle will be up to 72 mpg.
Apart from that, the new Kona Hybrid also features Blue Link which will allow drivers to remotely control their vehicles using a smartphone app. As for additional features, the hybrid uses an optional Audio Video navigation system which shows a number of useful information along with Cloud-based voice recognition.
The standard connectivity system of the hybrid comes with a seven-inch display with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
At the moment however, Hyundai hasn’t revealed the complete specifications or the pricing of the vehicle but confirmed that it will be available for consumers from August of this year. As a result, it’s safe to assume that more details regarding the powertrain will come out in the coming weeks.
