Although 343 Industries announced earlier this year that we will be getting Halo: Master Chief Collection to PC, the follow-ups to the announcement have been pretty slow. Few weeks earlier the developers revealed details on the upcoming game during a live stream where they answered several questions about the upcoming game. Shortly afterwards, Microsoft announced that the release of previous games in the series will start with Halo: reach. And now, 343 finally announced that the PC testing phase for the upcoming game will begin from next week.
However, you should note that only a small number of people from those who signed up for the Halo Insider Program will be able to test out the public beta. The company revealed that they took the difficult decision in order to run the entire process smoothly and to allow participants to share feedback on the current build of the game. Additionally, the company revealed that the developers are still testing the build which is expected to go out next week. However, the company didn’t reveal any more details as it said it will update everyone going forward.
In case you were chosen to test out the public beta, you can access the game through Steam where the Halo: Master Chief Collection will be released alongside Microsoft Store later this year. As for Halo: Infinite, 343 announced that the upcoming game will be part of similar program until the release next year. If you want to participate in the public beta of Halo: Infinite, you will need to be part of Halo Insider program as mentioned earlier. If you haven’t signed up for the program, you can do so by going to the official site.
