Although it’s been quite a while since Ford announced 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500, the company has been pretty slow in revealing more details of the vehicle. Thankfully, we don’t need to wait a long time as Jalopnik recently reported that the upcoming vehicle’s pricing will start at $70,300.
The outlet cited an unnamed source who revealed the price and shortly afterwards, a Ford Spokesperson confirmed the information. However, GT500 will end up costing out little bit more as you will be required to pay for destination and delivery and gas-guzzler tax. Both of these services will bring the price up to $73,995.
In addition to this, as you add extras, the price of the car will go up. For example, if you want to purchase the Carbon Fiber Track Pack, you will be charged $18,500. And if you add the GT500 Technology Package, you will have to add another $3,000 to the figure. Moreover, the distinctive over-the-top racing stripes will have a price tag of $10,000. And lastly, the Handling package will be $1,500. As a result, expect to pay a significant sum in case you want to purchase one of these add-ons.
Although the car will cost you well over $100,000 after adding dealers’ charges, the car will be popular among consumers as the vehicle will bring in over 760 horsepower that will be on-par with some of the supercars while costing way less than a traditional supercar. At the moment, Ford confirmed that the car will arrive at dealers this fall and the company will open the online pricing tool at a later date.
