We are still a long time away from knowing Marvel’s plans going forward after the events of Avengers: Endgame. While Marvel has several high-profile sequels already in the works, it’s unclear who from previous movies will come back to reprise their roles again as several actors’ contract ended with the Avengers: Endgame. Although we will have to wait few more months to find out, Dave Bautista thinks that Chris Hemsworth will be perfect fit for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
While Marvel is yet to confirm anything regarding the upcoming movies, Bautista thinks that Chris Hemsworth should definitely star in the upcoming sequel. During his interview with The Hollywood Reporter the actor shared his experience with working in such massive projects. Talking about Hemsworth, the actor said, “Marvel set the tone for an environment, and that’s what the environment is. I think they take all those things into consideration when people are being hired, and it was incredible to see a who’s who of Hollywood, all interacting together in a very pleasant atmosphere. There were no egos; there was no ego-clashing or attitude. If there was, I didn’t witness it. I think Chris Hemsworth is a great guy; he’s a fun-loving Aussie. He is what you’d expect him to be. He’s very funny, pleasant and upbeat. He’s very social, so I think that would be a perfect fit to be honest with you. I think Hemsworth is hysterical.”
While it’ll be interesting to see if Marvel is planning on bringing the actor back in the upcoming movie, Bautista’s comments definitely shed positive lights on Hemsworth. Moreover, following the release of Endgame, Hemsworth said that he would be interested in joining the casts of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. Most importantly, given his character is already part of the crew following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it will be surprising to see if Hemsworth isn’t part of the movie after his long run in the MCU.
At the moment however, nothing is certain as Marvel or Disney hasn’t confirmed anything regarding the upcoming movie as mentioned earlier. However, the executives have said in the past that Spider-Man: Far From Home will conclude phase 3 of MCU. As a result, it’s unlikely we will learn anything about the future movies before that. Despite that, as we are just over two months away from this year’s D23 expo, chances are we will learn more about the upcoming movies building up to the event.
