CD Projekt Red finally announced the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 during Microsoft’s E3 press briefing earlier this month. Since then, developers are revealing more details as we wait for the game’s arrival next April. However, it seems that you’ll need to clear up spaces on your hard drive as a report from IGN claimed that the upcoming title will require up to 80GB of space.
Although the estimate is for PS4 version of the game, it’s unlikely that the PC and Xbox One versions would be significantly different. If True, then Cyberpunk 2077 will require twice as much space as CD Projekt Red’s previous title The Witcher 3.
While we will have to wait to see if the game ends up requiring that much space, it won’t be surprising at all. If the trailer and gameplay demo proved anything, the title will have extensive details which are likely to take up space.
At the moment, the studio hasn’t revealed a lot of details regarding the storyline. Previously the developers stated that the title will have different storylines which might end up taking more space due to sheer amount of contents. As we are still months away from the release, expect to hear more about the game as we move closer to the release date. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to come out on April 16, 2020 and is currently available for pre-order.
