In a recent announcement earlier today, Audi has issued a recall for its first all-electric vehicles for potential battery risk.
This latest news comes via Bloomberg which reported that the latest recall will be applicable to the U.S. customers and affects 1,644 vehicles.
According to Audi, the company discovered that moisture could potentially make its way to battery cell from wiring harness. While the company revealed that it hasn’t received any report incident which could be tied to the battery, it has received a total of five cases worldwide which resulted due to the above-mentioned concern.
If you are affected by the recalled, Audi will compensate you for $800 in cash card to cover related cost. Moreover, during the repair, you will be given a loaner vehicle.
The E-Tron marked Audi’s first mass-produced electric vehicle and since its release, it has solver 540 of the SUV in the U.S. since it went on sale earlier in April.
