During its keynote speech of WWDC earlier today, Apple announced its highly anticipated Mac Pro.
With the latest announcement, Apple introduced all-new design with Mac Pro which features up to 28 core Xeon processor, up to 1.5TB of ECC RAM as well as up to AMD Radeon Pro Vega II Duo graphics with 64GB of HBM2 memory.
In case you are interested in the design, the recently announced Mac Pro comes with a stainless-steel frame which you can lift off for a 360-degree access to the system. according to the company, the new Mac Pro will provide over 300W of power. As for the design, Apple says that the state-of-the-art architecture will allow processors to run without any thermal throttling. If that’s the case, then it’ll mark an important upgrade as users complained about thermal throttling of earlier versions of Mac Pro.
Talking about the latest Mac Pro, Phil Schiller said, ‘We designed Mac Pro for users who require a modular system with extreme performance, expansion and configurability. With its powerful Xeon processors, massive memory capacity, groundbreaking GPU architecture, PCIe expansion, Afterburner accelerator card and jaw-dropping design, the new Mac Pro is a monster that will enable pros to do their life’s best work.”
As for price, the Mac Pro starts at $5,999 in the United States with an eight-core Intel Xeon processor, 32GB of ECC RAM, AMD WX 7100 graphics, and 256GB of SSD storage. In addition to the all-new Mac Pro, Apple also unveiled a 32-inch 6K display named Pro Display XDR which will start at $4,999.
Both Mac Pro and Pro Display XDR will be available for pre-order starting from later this fall.
