Earlier today, Apple has shown off a number of new hardware and software to consumers. While there has been a lot of surprises during the event, one interesting announcement nearly fell under the radar. During the event, the tech giant announced PS4 and Xbox One controller support for iPhone and Apple TV.
The upcoming feature will allow users to connected their PS4 and Xbox One controllers to their iPhones as well as Apple TV via Bluetooth. However, Apple hasn’t confirmed if all of the controllers’ feature will support these devices.
This latest news however, shouldn’t come off as a surprise. Recently, the company introduced its game streaming service, Apple Arcade which will be available to consumers later this fall. Although pricing for the upcoming platform is unknown, a large number of premium game studios have already signed up to bring their games onto the platform.
As Google is also expected to launch Stadia around the same time, it’ll be interesting to see if Apple can attract consumers with its product after it becomes available.
