Amazon introduced its Amazon Prime Day to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary back in 2015 and since then, consumers can opt to purchase different products with high discounts during the event. Although consumers had just one Prime day back in 2015, this time around, the entire event will last for 48-hours to give you enough time to complete deals.
Amazon’s latest announcement doesn’t come off as a surprise as earlier last year, the company moved to a 36-hours window to give its customers plenty of time to decide before purchasing their desired products. Shortly afterwards, Amazon revealed that the Prime Day 2018 became the biggest sales event in Amazon’s history.
Unsurprisingly, the company has now said that it will be expanding the event to a 48-hour period for this year. According to the company, the Prime Day will feature more than one million deals including the “biggest Prime Day Deals ever on Alexa enabled devices.”
The company also revealed that the event will kick-off today with Toshiba HD 43-Inch Fire TV Edition Smart TV is now available for $179.99.
