In a recent post on Instagram, Henry Cavill has confirmed that The Witcher has ended the production. In the update, the actor posted a photo of himself as he thanked everyone who worked in the show’s first season.
This news comes as earlier last year, Netflix gave a sneak peek into Henry Cavill as Geralt along with a confirmation that we’ll be getting the first season of the show later this year. Since then, the streaming giant has confirmed that the show will debut in the fourth quarter of this year.
Henry Cavill has been busy on the social media to keep the fans updated. Earlier last month, the actor shared an image of himself. If the latest post is anything to go by, then it seems that the actor is extremely happy with the progress of the show.
As for the show itself, the first season of The Witcher will contain a total of eight episodes. Similar to other shows, if the show becomes a hit, there’s no reason for Netflix not to continue for more seasons.
As mentioned earlier, The Witcher will premiere on Netflix later this year. We’re likely to hear more about it in the coming weeks.

Season 1 of The Witcher has finally come to an end. And although I’m pulling a face here it has been an incredible journey! The cast and crew worked tirelessly throughout, everyone pitched in and brought their A game to set and I couldn’t be more proud of you all. Speaking of my immediate team. Jacqui, Ailbhe and Leah are consummate professionals who worked extraordinary hours to bring the Witcher to life, they were non stop improving adjusting and evolving Geralt throughout. Thank you ladies for making this journey a good one. All of those 3 am wake ups were worth it! #GeraltofRivia #TheWitcher #Season1
