Although, Samsung recently revealed its first 64MP camera sensor, recent reports have suggested that the company’s upcoming Galaxy Note 10 might miss out on the latest sensor. However, it seems that the consumers might not need to wait long to see the new sensor in action as upcoming Galaxy A70S might contain world’s first 64MP smartphone camera.
This latest news comes from a report via a Korean site ET News http://english.etnews.com/20190523200001 which has claimed that Samsung is planning on introducing the camera sooner rather than later. If the report is accurate, then it’s pretty interesting given Galaxy A70S is considered to be a mid-range smartphone. However, this report holds up to Samsung’s CEO DJ Koh’s comment from last year that the company will bring more advanced technologies to its mid-range smartphones.
If Samsung goes ahead with the inclusion of the image sensor with its Galaxy A70S, it’ll dethrone Sony’s IMX586 smartphone. Earlier last year, Sony revealed the smartphone with massive 48MP camera sensor.
Luckily enough, we don’t have to wait too long to find out if the report is accurate as the report has suggested that Samsung could release the model in the second half of 2019. However, Samsung is yet to confirm the claims.
