Although Google had pretty high expectations with its release of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 Xl last year, since the release, users have complained about several bugs along with both smartphones’ display. While Google has been pretty quick to address most of the bugs and complaints, recently several Pixel 2XL users have claimed that their smartphones are not charging as quickly as before despite the phone’s display reading “Charging rapidly”.
This latest news comes as owners of Pixel 2XL and Pixel 2 have recently started experiencing slower charging times when the batteries have lower temperature. Shortly afterwards, some users conducted their own tests to find out that the issue is occurring when the battery’s temperature is falling below 20 degree Celsius.
Although fast charging has been pretty popular in recent times, smartphone manufacturers are pretty careful not to stress the battery following Galaxy Note 7’s battery fiasco from few years earlier. However, most smartphones coming with the feature use the technology efficiently to avoid any potential disaster. At the moment however, Google hasn’t confirmed what’s causing the slow charging for Pixel 2 XL. As the company has responded to users’ complaints in the past pretty fast, it is expected that Google will address the situation soon if it’s a widespread problem.
