After months of wait, Samsung finally started rolling out Android Oreo update for Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, shortly afterwards, the company paused the rollout for unknown reason. And now, the company has started rolling out the OS update again.
While Samsung didn’t confirm the reason for the pause, it has noted that the halt came due to a major problem with the software. However, the issue is now fixed and users should continue to get OTA update in the coming weeks.
You should also note that the update is applicable to all Galaxy S8 and S8+ users regardless of previous update due to the software issue. The update is about 530MB for those who has updated their devices recently and little bit more for those who didn’t receive the update during initial rollout. If you haven’t received the update yet, you might want to wait few more days as Samsung is updating the smartphones on a rolling basis.
