OneNote for Android Gets Several Tools in Latest Update

If you are using Microsoft’s OneNote app on your Android smartphone, then you will be glad to know that the company has added several new tools and feature in the latest app update including the lasso tool.

In addition to the lasso tool, the update brought option to resize pictures as well as the ability to shift text and images anywhere on the page to maintain better structure for notes.

The company noted in the official changelog,

  • We heard you! Use the new lasso tool to freely select ink drawings and other content on your page.
  • Change the size of images and move text and images around on the page to keep things organized.
  • If you take notes with a stylus, OneNote now supports palm rejection for more natural and accurate drawing and handwriting.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

While inclusion of Lasso tool is certainly welcome, early users have complained that the tool is still unresponsive and frustrating to use. However, like other app updates, Microsoft is expected to fix most of the major issues in future updates.
