If you use your smartphone on a regular basis to take pictures, then you already know that image sharing process from your smartphone to Windows based PC isn’t particularly convenient unless you use cloud storage solutions such as Google Drive or OneDrive. In order to make the process simpler, Microsoft has now released their new “Photos Companion” app for both iOS and Android devices.
The latest addition to Microsoft’s apps come from the company’s Garage branch which is dedicated to releasing experimental apps and services. With the latest app, you will be able to quickly sync images between your smartphone and computer.
While the process is instant for those users with high speed internet connection, it won’t be available all the time. In case you want to transfer photos from your smartphone to your Windows based PC, you will need to scan the QR code provided by Windows 10 Photos app. In addition to the syncing, the Photos Companion app also allows users to start a video project from within Photos app on the PC.
As many users would like to have the constant syncing process between their smartphone and computer, it’s likely that the company will integrate the feature over the next couple of weeks.
