Over last couple of years voice control has become one of the hottest trends as major tech companies continue to bring their products which use the technology. While most of the voice controlled devices are designed to give users control of their smartphones or related devices, recently HP announced that soon the company will be the first to offer printers with intuitive voice command features which will take benefits of major virtual assistants such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Microsoft’s Cortana.
HP announced the plan to release printers that use the technology. It said that once available, HP printers will be completely controllable via voice command which will allow users to print anything they need. In addition to this, users will be able to get status of printer by asking their voice assistant the device related questions such as if the printer is out of ink.
At the moment, the company hasn’t revealed more details. However, as printing requires users to tweak different settings on a regular basis, it will be interesting to see if the upcoming features become useful for majority of the consumers.
